When I try to change the source of installion in Yast2 to a harddrive directory where the DVD files have been copied, I get and a no installation data found on medium. I click details, and get could not mount source medium.
Any ideas on what the problem is?

I did the same thing but I copied the first 4 cds to a directory and yast2 had no problems seeing the files. However I copied the files using the following commands. ******************************************************************* Here is a description of how to create one single directory: Choose a base directory (e.g. /usr/AUTO) mkdir /usr/AUTO cd /usr/AUTO Copy the contents of the SuSE-CDs into this directory mount /cdrom cp -av /cdrom/* . cp /cdrom/.S* . Repeat the above process for each of the CD's ***************************************************************** I then pointed yast2 to /usr/AUTO This came from the Suse help center on installing and setting up for an nfs install. I think the second command copies files that are needed for yast2 to to recognise that its a valid installation medium. I could be wrong tho :) Cheers, Glenn
