There is an O'Reilly book which looks good for LPI. There is also a big Coriolis book, the first edition of which I looked at and thought it had quite a few errors, but I think it's probably been revised by now. On Thu, 21 Feb 2002, Keith Winston wrote:

Did anyone got an LPI Certification? On what books did you study?
Thanks in Advance
Gabriele
I completed level 1 last year and level 2 last month. In both cases, I downloaded the outlines of the material covered from www.lpi.org and studied what was there. I of course practiced on my linux boxen for programs I was not familiar with and needed to load debian for some of the things.
I'm not sure, but the questions may be random. Some topics had more questions than others, some were not on my tests at all. There was nothing on the tests that was not listed in the requirements on the LPI site. Overall, I felt the tests were fair and balanced. My interactions with LPI have all been pleasant and professional. I like what they are doing.
Best Regards, Keith
