Not quite - I'm fairly used to linux now (been using SuSE for a while, and Irix a few years ago, too, as well as older unices). So I've no problem hacking around a bit. My gaps are in knowing how to do things I don't know how to do (IYSWIM)! What I'd like to do is be able to log into the second machine and have everything work as it does on the primary. So, VNC isn't really what I want. I'd thought of it but shoving everything down my poxy small LAN isn't ideal and, more importantly, it isn't transparent to the user. My wife is also going to be using this machine and she's not inclined to fuss setting up VNC clients etc. after logging in.
