What "control channels" are you referring to? WiFi doesn't have any. Perhaps you're thinking of the cell phone network, which does.

My Wifi setup page has settings for - MAC address (If I want to override/spoof) - power output (I set to 75% at present) - 802.11 band (set to 2.4GHz) - bandwidth (set to 20MHz) - control channel (Auto, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11) (set to 7 at this moment) The wifi network scanner on my phone show the signal strengths and control channels in use by the AP in range.
