Sure Go into YaST, system administration, change configuration file Near the bottom is variable displaymanager (probably set to console). Change it to kdm .
Multiple users with xdm is level "3" as I see it. Could someone give me specific instructions on setting up kdm in the SuSE version of /etc/inittab?
Now my problem with KDM: It didn't pick up my other window manager FVWM2 as an option on the available WM. It only shows KDE or failsafe. Also, when users log in, it appears that .profile and .bash_logout don't get run . I need to mount a SMB user drive and unmount them when they logoff. Worked if they logged in at console and then started the windowmanager. And to complicate it, the smbmount requires the user to enter a password (to tell the NT server). Anyone have any ideas? - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
