Lists have lots of "flags" so you can detect them.
The result being you can split the stuff sent directly to you in to one folder (or if you don't want it you can send it directly to junk)
and the other copy goes into a per-list folder ...
This filter breaks when you have a gmail account: you get only the private copy, you do not ever get the email from the list server (this is known gmail behaviour).
