You could try to look at the command/desktop-file properties of the icon on your desktop, and then use the same command to start it though [Alt-F2]

Very good day to you too, indeed. And thank you for your answer. Unfortunately the icon command bluntly states the same what I type to [Alt-F2] box: "quanta". And as far as I have noticed, all other applications seems to start up nicely. Oh well, have to enter magician mode and do some chanting.
