From the official list, i'm interested in:
# ACPI support for hotkeys, LCD brightness control and hardware toggles # Toggle hardware (WiFi, Bluetooth, card reader, webcam, touchpad) on and off
I haven't tested Bluetooth... but WiFi, cardreader, webcam, on/off toggles all work for me... brightness up/down works... volume up/down and mute all work... The sleep button also works to sleep and wake up again. Touchpad on/off doesn't seem to work, but I've never used it.. nor looked to see why it's not toggling (I just tested it now). Basically... without installing eeecontrol I have what appears to be everything working out-of-the-box without needing it. One thing I thought I'd need/want is the CPU scaling, but KDE4 has all the controls for that... for my use pattern, I don't need/miss it. I've set the profiles for on AC Power, Battery etc and set the CPU scaling appropriately.
