removing nvidia yields nonworking graphics. While it's certainly true that it's common, it doesn't happen here. I have dozens and dozens of installations running on NVidia GPUs. Every one of them is running satisfactorily exclusively on FOSS. My PCs are tools, not toys dependent on evolving technology. It's NVidia's tainting in /lib/ that causes people trouble when an upgrade occurs without first removing the taint, the intangible NVidia tax I choose not to pay. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is religion, not science.
