There is nothing in my last-previous message to indicate that I am wondering about the speed of the drive. I asked a question about where K3b was getting its information from, and it was answered clearly. That would be clear from my paragraph to which you are replying, had you not truncated it in the middle..
I appologize, my mis-intrepretation
hwinfo --cdrom | grep Drive\ Speed
Good to know this. Thank you.
also mis-intrepretation. Displays the cd speed, not the dvd :^( not my day :^) btw, I do not recall ever seeing a dvd drive with different speeds for - -R and +R writing capability, but that may have been true with the very early models.... - -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.4-svn4472 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFHJjLLClSjbQz1U5oRAvirAJwOfVFkPTf15KNANsL1NVGm0K4u2ACfUosU XMNcjyYaR9AuTVfrDzSbvxI= =WoG+ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
