well, off the top of my head ip-up.local says #!/bin/bash fetchmail -v -d300 /usr/sbin/sendmail -q #killall wvdial #killall pppd and it don't fly, unless i i execute it in a terminal with /etc/ppp/ip-up.local the file itself executes, because by uncommenting the killalls - it dials in, authenticates, then the process dies.... [Jul 10. 2002 12:38]: Howdy, trying to get sendmail and fetchmail automated on dial in, have set the lines in ip-up.local, and configured sendmail and fetchmail, but, when ip-up.local is executed from dial in these lines will not run, if i manually run /etc/ppp/ip-up.local they kick off and work fine. I know ip-up.local is being exectued automatically, since putting killalls for wvdial and ppd at the end works.
i've surfed about but can't find anything about permissions or whatever, this fails to run either as root or my normal user....
thoughts anyone?
Could you please send us a diff explaining what difference you made to the file?
