Hi,
I just tried to make the DVD for 10.1 with the new makeSUSEdvd 0.30.
I think everything went fine when I put these ISOs: SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD1.iso SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD2.iso SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD3.iso SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD4.iso SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD5.iso SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-Addon-Biarch.iso
into one DVD-ISO: SUSE-10.1-0-DVD.iso
after calculating the MD5SUMS, it says, that some filenames are to long and it uses other filenames. Because the original files came out of a ISO-file, why is there a need to cut down the filename? In the original ISO-CD-image the file with the long filename has been without any problems:
Using GSTREAMER010_PLUGINS_BASE_D000.;1 for ./suse/i586/gstreamer010-plugins-base-doc-0.10.5-11.i586.rpm (gstreamer010-plugins-base-devel-0.10.5-11.i586.rpm) Using JAKARTA_COMMONS_HTTPCLIENT000.R;1 for ./suse/noarch/jakarta-commons-httpclient3-manual-3.0-14.noarch.rpm (jakarta-commons-httpclient3-3.0-14.noarch.rpm) Using JAKARTA_COMMONS_HTTPCLIENT001.R;1 for ./suse/noarch/jakarta-commons-httpclient3-3.0-14.noarch.rpm (jakarta-commons-httpclient3-demo-3.0-14.noarch.rpm)
I burned the DVD-ISO-IMAGE with k3b and will now try to find out if it is installable. Perhabs this is a bug? <snip>
That is then most likely not a makeSUSEdvd issue, but a create_package_descr issue. When the MD5SUM is being made, the files are already copied, so no issue there. So if somebody who knows either perl or create_package_descr or both, perhaps (s)he can shed a light on this. houghi -- Nutze die Zeit.
