In view of the /. article on glabels, I decided to try to install it. On my laptop, which I generally consider my test machine, I used Synaptic to install glabels and the install went flawlessly. However, when I tried to install it on my main workstation, again using Synaptic, Synaptic indicated that it was downloading a package but then quickly, within a second or two, indicated it was installing the package and then again quickly, went back to the main window. On checking, Synaptic indicates glabels "to be installed". I looked for glabels but couldn't find it which confirms that it was not installed. Can anyone give me a clue as to what might be happening here? Any pointers appreciated.
Could this be the "signed packages" glitch that people, including myself, have had problems with. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2)
