I just setup a ddns service with dyndns.org. My smc router is supposed to be able to update my IP address with dyndns but they don't think it will. Dyndns.org suggests using a Linux client for IP updates. Can anyone recommend an easy-to-use, idiot-proof client?
Thanks, Tom
You don't mention which version of linux you are using. SuSE 9.1 comes with a couple of clients that will do the updates. I am using ddclient which works well enough. There is/was a page on their site that listed all of the clients that worked with a link to the download site. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2) * PLEASE only reply to the list *
