Hello: I can't mount my floppy: ~> mount /media/floppy mount: I could not determine the filesystem type, and none was specified dmesg reports: end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 my etc/fstab: /dev/fd0 /media/floppy auto noauto,user,sync 0 0 This occurs in openSUSE 10.3 with the latest two kernels (2.6.22.18-0.2-default, 2.6.22.17-0.1-default); I haven't checked earlier kernels. This occurs only in one of 3 10.3 systems. The floppy drive works fine and I can boot msdos from a win98 startup disk. I googled and found several hits to "end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0" but did not find the reason and solution. Any hints?
