-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm using SuSE 8.1 with provided VMWare (3.1.1) and KDE 3.0.4 (official upgrade from SuSE). In my virtual windows 98, I shared the C:\ drive (total access without password, as I have no network and want to keep it simple). Then, in Konqueror I want to access the share with smb://win_vm/c. It used to work in SuSE 8.0 with KDE 3.0.4 and VMWare 3.0, but this time I get an error message from Konqueror. It says it is unable to access the file smb://win_vm/c/ommand.com. Notice the missing "c" at the beginning of the file name. It happens with any file or folder I try to share. If I mount the share with a simple "mount" command as root, it works OK. So the problem probably comes from KDE itself. Or it could be a special configuration in the Samba integrated in VMWare that KDE dislikes. Has anyone met that problem? If I was sure it was a KDE problem I would post this in suse-kde, but I think it could also be related to VMWare. Thanks for any help! - -- Thibaut Cousin E-mail : cousin@in2p3.fr Web : http://clrwww.in2p3.fr -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE9t87Pv1vqsTa1E4oRAkrOAJ0SCPPhMz+XAm+zMr1bj3/1U9Fl1QCfcqbp 1sHdjJCnFe1VnB6TS1Jwzh8= =cF5V -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
