Hi!
My server doesn't have a CD-rom. Currently it's running 10.2 and has another hard drive that is not used. I'd like to install 11.0 on that other hard drive and have them both operational. (I have separate RAID stack there for data.) Is there a tutorial somewhere that guides how to start network installation without CD-rom? If it helps, I can run other virtual installations of 11.0 in the same network (does openSUSE have the same kind of "few-clicks to set up" network boot system as knoppix has?)
Thanks!

and probably few more that are still hanging around, not included in Portal.
Thanks, I found one that should help me going as I happen to have a working linux (grup) there. However, most guides (and all relevant to me) seem to be for the older versions. I've tried the PXE before and unfortunately I could not get it to work. At that time it seemed extremely complicated. Would be nice to have a kind of PXE server, where you just enter the DVD-iso and then boot the other computers with PXE to start the installation. I'm sure it's a little bit more complicated than that in reality, but at least Knoppix has it very easy. Anyways, I'll go with one of those guides. I'll first try the 11.0 in VirtualBox though to see what it looks like. :-) -- HG. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
