What do you actually mean by a session called gnome-session? Is it sufficient to add it in the KDE control center or should some underlying files be told that a session called gnome-session exits and that gnome (or kde?) must be used as window manager??? You can prevent ximian and the doorman from changing your defaults, if you pay attention. You will need to use KDE control centre login manager to add a session named gnome-session. From a gnome-session use red carpet, subscribe to ximian gnome channel, select install, then select application -> evolution -> install packages. In most cases red carpet will solve the dependency issues for you and will provide a working evolution setup.
