It's missing from my 9.2 --> 9.3 upgrade together with /etc/init.d/udev, but udevd is running. can anyone confirm that this is correct as I can't find them on the DVD. The admin guide page 346 says there should be a /sbin/hotplug, I only have /sbin/hotplugeventrecorder. rebuilding from source rpm udev-053-15.2, no /sbin/hotplug and I'm unable to access any USB devices. HAL is not mentioned in the admin guide, but I see the following in /var/log/warn. It seems HAL is used to handle these devices now and I'm just about to start reading up on it. /var/log/warn:Apr 23 00:35:58 Boycie hald[4081]: Timed out waiting for hotplug event 1534.
