openSUSE 11.1 fails to install on it, as it crashes before the load of any driver. However openSUSE 11.0 install on it perfectly ( well, almost ). However, made a kernel upgrade to openSUSE kotd 2.6.29-rc5 and all went well. The dual core atom 300 with HyperThreading is working like a charm with a x86_64 Kernel.
My problem is that I would like to install openSUSE 11.1 on it, just because is a newer system so, here are my questions:
I am experiencing similar problem with an Atom 230 mobo (Intel D945GCLF). I came across this http://forums.opensuse.org/install-boot-login/402136-kernel-panic-11-1-64bit... and upgraded the BIOS but have not had much success with the 64bit openSUSE 11.1. No issues with the 32 bit version though. Don't have a 64bit 11.0 handy otherwise I would have installed it on my system and be done with it. -- Arun Khan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
