Hi List, At SUSE's SDB pages http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2004/05/hmeyer_91_revert_from_subfs.html I found the exact fstab entries for 'dvd' and 'floppy' drives, but there was not mentioned, how the options for the 'dvd' should be modified e.g. in case of CD(recorder) or DVD(recorder) devices. There was also no detailed description for ZIP-drives, so in case it's possible, please help me to make the correct entries, e.g. at present I use /dev/dvdrecorder /media/dvdrecorder auto noauto,user,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/sda1 /media/zippo vfat noauto, user, exec, sync 0 0 So actually for 'dvdrecorder' I just removed the read-only flag compared to 'dvd' and for my parallel ZIP-drive I attempt to use 'floppy's defaults, except, that I defined vfat here: till now everything seems to work. I have SUSE 9.1 with automount disabled, so would be crucial for me to know the "real defaults", and not to try improvizing... Thanks for any suggestions/corrections, Peli Ps. BONUS question - is there a way to boot from a parallel ZIP-drive, or the option in the BIOS boot-config as 'ZIP' is actually just for ZIP-drives with IDE interface?! Thx.
