After updates, compiz is dead, so I was going to remove it and start over trying either J's packages in XGL or Dominiques' in compiz. No big deal, done it 50 times before, but this time:
rpm -e $(rpm -qa | grep "compiz\|fusion\|emerald") python-ccm simple-ccsm
is taking foreever?
Why is gconftool-2 running when removing rpms anyway? Is there any way to tell rpm not to call gconftool-2 just for a few package removals? This should take no more than 30 seconds. I'm now 10 minutes into the removal??
This might be a regression of https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=546543 if the bug ever got addressed. If that's your issue please reopen the defect and lift the product from 11.2 to 11.3. Lars -- Lars Müller [ˈlaː(r)z ˈmʏlɐ] Samba Team SUSE Linux, Maxfeldstraße 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany
