I cannot get usb to work at login screen. This all worked fine at and after installation. The problem started after I updated some packages with apt. Now usb works at the beginning. I can use the repair program on the install disc and I did with no problem. But once It starts loading my operating system 'F2 for details' doesn't work and at login my usb keyboard and mouse don't work. I can use the rescue program on the installation CD but I need to know what commands to use to diagnose and/or fix the problem. One clue is that the repair program finds three files that are problematic (file, postfix, util-linux) and suggests I repair them, which I do. But when I run the repair program again they show up again as problems to be repaired. I just checked these files using 'rpm -q' and none of them are installed! How do I install these files from the command line using the installation cd? Thanks, Jerome
