See this for the additions/changes required to your xorg.conf:

especially DAMAGE option.
That is in my xorg.conf . I think I have everything as in your article, but sorry... no go... same damn blurred screen... Well, will try to reinstall everything when new ATI driver will show up... No more ideas...
Hi, just did fresh install of 10.3 and one click install of ATI driver as suggested by cyberorg on my ThinkPad T60p. Then updated everything: XGL, xorg, Compiz stuff and rest of system. And get same screen as in my first post... What is interesting that I get another system from friend, ThinkPad T43p with ATI MOBILITY FireGL V3200. Did same install and get same result... So conclusion is that or I make same mistake somewhere or it is related to ThinkPad's and I have to find right settings for them. Would be good if someone could suggest from what I have to start to solve this problem... Now I have two system with not working X. Thank you.
