I had already installed 3.0.1 from supplementary. YOU offered to update kdelibs (where it only actually updated arts) but did not place any "mark" against KDE_3.0.1. Yet selecting "Show Description" shows many components with the higher "build" number than I have installed. Select the "Apply" button changes to a 'G' rather than an 'X' which indicates that YOU does not think that I have the package installed.
I've noticed that YOU misidentifies a number of packages as 'not installed'. I always have to check manually.
That's because YaST2 keeps track of which patches are applied in a separate file apart from RPM. If you look in this directory, /var/lib/YaST/patches/i386/update/8.0/patches you can see what YOU thinks it has patched. If it's not there, it thinks it has a patch to apply. Yet, it appears to look at the RPM database to get actual installed versions. Best Regards, Keith -- LPIC-2, MCSE, N+ Got spam? Get spastic http://spastic.sourceforge.net
