Did exactly what you said:
linux-4qnb:~ # zypper -v in /home/doug/Downloads/imagescan-bundle-opensuse-15.1-3.59.2.x64.rpm Verbosity: 2 Non-option program arguments: '/home/doug/Downloads/imagescan-bundle-opensuse-15.1-3.59.2.x64.rpm' '/home/doug/Downloads/imagescan-bundle-opensuse-15.1-3.59.2.x64.rpm' looks like an RPM file. Will try to download it. Problem retrieving the specified RPM file: Path '/home/doug/Downloads/imagescan-bundle-opensuse-15.1-3.59.2.x64.rpm' on medium 'dir:/home/doug/Downloads' is not a file. Please check whether the file is accessible. Problem with the RPM file specified as '/home/doug/Downloads/imagescan-bundle-opensuse-15.1-3.59.2.x64.rpm', skipping. No valid arguments specified.
Now what? AFAIK, EVERYTHING I ever downloaded came out without error. Shall I try again? There is no check for this file.
then /home/doug/Downloads is not where the rpm file is. The "zypper ..." command I gave you expects to find the file in the path you provide. A 15 year linux user should be able to provide the path where a file is located. If you are unable, you will not be able to install it.
If I do a cd /home/doug/Downloads and run ls -la I get a whole list of files including the decrypted rpm file. However, if I do NOT cd to my Downloads directory and run the command suggested, this is the result:
linux-4qnb:~ # ls -la /home/doug/Downloads/imagescan-bundle-opensuse-15.1-3.59.2.x64.rpm total 16 drwxr-xr-x 1 doug 1000 62 Aug 20 02:34 . drwxr-xr-x 1 doug users 1938 Aug 30 15:19 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 doug 1000 5378 Aug 20 02:34 README.rst drwxr-xr-x 1 doug 1000 94 Aug 20 02:34 core -rwxr-xr-x 1 doug 1000 7392 Jul 31 03:36 install.sh drwxr-xr-x 1 doug 1000 380 Aug 20 02:34 plugins
Because it is not a file. It is a directory. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.0 x86_64 at Telcontar)
