there was mouse configuration in systemsettings5 -> input devices -> mouse to adjust the interval considered for double clicking but is no longer there.
lately my mouse, logitech thumb track-ball has become quite touchy with click timing and I wanted to try to lengthen/increase the time delay for double click interval to perhaps solve.
how may I now adjust that timing. and I have no /etc/X11/xorg.conf and
grep -ir mouse /etc/X11/*
has no output or blank output

I still see the option in the mouse's Advanced Tab: Doubleclick Interval. That is what you mean, don't you?
yes, it is. but it does not exist on any of my current Tw boxes :(
