Hey all, I don't mean to post two topics at once, but they're similar. First of all, I was wondering what performance is like on SuSE 8.2 with XF 4.3 on an ATI Radeon 9500 Pro? I'm still running on 7.3 at home with XF 4.2 and everything is great! Watching videos and DVD's are good and I'm able to use the drivers from ATI. CPU utilization seems low for a 1GHz Athlon (< 20% I think). How do the ones that come with XFree compare for DVD/video viewing? On my T30 notebook (for work), I have a Radeon Mobility 7500 (M7) with SuSE 8.2 and XF 4.3. When watching DVD's and videos using xine, CPU usage seems high, around 40-50%. Picture is smooth, but I'm not sure how to tell how much the video card is being worked vs. all of it being worked by the CPU. Any experiences in this area are appreciated.
