After playing around with windows for too long I wanted to install Suse 6.2 and upgrade (via ftp if possible)to 7.0 or 6.4 annyway enough to use kde 2.0. Would it suffice to just use yast, go to suse ftp and upgrade from the 7.0 folder? Or am i thinking to simplistic here.

your best bet is to just buy SuSE 7.0 Personal and install it. this is the easiest way to do it IMHO. You will then have a clean installation and be able to use the software.

Cheers,
Jonathan
