I noticed that every time I started a KDE application I got the following two errors in .xsession-errors: avalon:~ # tail .xsession-errors /usr/lib/qt3/plugins/imageformats/libqjpeg.so: Feature JPEG already defined in /usr/lib/qt-3.0.4/plugins/imageformats/libqjpeg.so! /usr/lib/qt3/plugins/imageformats/libqmng.so: Feature MNG already defined in /usr/lib/qt-3.0.4/plugins/imageformats/libqmng.so! Looking at /usr/lib I saw the following: avalon:~ # l -d /usr/lib/qt* drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Jun 14 05:33 /usr/lib/qt-2.3.2/ drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 Jul 17 22:16 /usr/lib/qt-3.0.3/ drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 4096 Jul 17 22:16 /usr/lib/qt-3.0.4/ lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8 May 5 09:32 /usr/lib/qt2 -> qt-2.3.2/ lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8 Jul 17 22:16 /usr/lib/qt3 -> qt-3.0.4/ So, I removed the qt3 link and renamed qt-3.0.4 to qt3: avalon:~ # l -d /usr/lib/qt* drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Jun 14 05:33 qt-2.3.2/ drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 Jul 17 22:16 qt-3.0.3/ lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8 May 5 09:32 qt2 -> qt-2.3.2/ drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 4096 Jul 17 22:16 qt3/ Is this OK? -- Robert C.
