I'm a newbie as well. Try this if this what you are looking for:
Kmenu->configure desktop->regional & accessibility->keyboard
shortcuts-> look around if anything is set for F11 key under the
shortcut column.
If this isn't what you are looking for, may be someone might help you

Hi,
My F11 key does not work in Firefox (it should switch to and from full screen). I think it might be bound to some action in a shortcut somewhere, but can't find what is it. How do I find out the shortcut, or how do I unbind the F11 key from whatever it is bound to so I can use it in Firefox? I'm using OpenSuSE 11.1 and KDE 4.1.3.
