SuSE is a nice toy--great for tinkering with at home--and fairly cheap. But get a different distribution if you want something which takes security a little more seriously--like maybe RedHat or FreeBSD.
I do like SuSE but, dispite the jabber to the contrary, I think the idea of allowing (essentially) anyone to be root is patently absurd.
