Why does systemd need to run as '1' again? It's a matter of boundaries more than anything.
Init must run as 1, because it is the first program the kernel loads. There will always be a userspace "something" running as pid 1, and it is "init". Systemd is init now.
And the kernel expects that PID 1 process to do the rest of starting the system.
So if "linda-init" starts systemd, it will bring up rest of system w/o needing to be '1', right? I.e. no problem? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
