What version of SuSE? Are you using a stock kernel or have you downloaded a new version? If you are using 6.3 and have not installed a newer kernel, get the usb update on the suse www page, install it and then enable usb in rc.config. That should get you started, Tim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Bartosh" <bartosh@ocean.tamu.edu> To: <suse-linux-e@suse.com> Sent: Thursday, February 24, 2000 12:54 AM Subject: [SLE] usb help- please
OK since my last query concerning this got nowhere, I'll try again.
My overall goal is to get my usb tape drive working.
What steps should I take, however in getting usb support in general up? Could someone clue me in here, or point me to relavent docs? My machine has USB on the motherboard and usb ports coming out of the back so I'd assume that I'm not too far off base here.
So someone whose gotten usb in general to work (usb scsi even better) could you please drop me a note?
