Any other ideas?
I am told that using Xgl is still the best way to go for on SUSE even if you are using xorg 7x, the experience would be quite superior to AIGLX.
Yesterday I updated from the two sources above, still the same white screen on running beryl. On running beryl-manager a new option appeared, "Non-TFP Copy Rendering", choosing it made the white screen go away, but it very very slow. Some moments of debugging later I tried: " beryl --use-copy --force-aiglx" this works!! still not lighting fast (will not put up with it while working) but usable to showoff every now and then.
Glad to know that you got it working.
Not sure how useful the new updates were? I never tried some of the command-line options before. What does "use-copy" mean?
Here is some information on the subject: http://blog.beryl-project.org/beryl/27/non-tfp-mode-a-clarification/ And here is the reason why it is slow: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/compiz/2006-November/000871.html -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
