thanks. but how do i know what the directory is?
You'll find it in /usr/lib/java2 which is actually a like to the real directory. Mine ends up at /usr/lib/BlackdownJava2-1.4.1 which some will find preferable to the Sun version. Opera will want you to drill down to /usr/lib/BlackdownJava2-1.4.1/jre/lib/i386 to find the executables.
(sorry if this sounds to stupid, but i'm new to all of it)... j.
Not at all, we all had to start out at the bottom... HTH Dylan

Dear all,
I installed Opera 7.11 yesterday and the Java 2.0 Runtime from the SuSE 8.2 disks today. How do I
get
Opera to recognize/use the Java Runtime?
In the multimedia options - you can choose the relevant directory and get Opera to check it for you.
You need to restart Opera to make it actually work tho.
