Hi, and good bye See you on the other side, good or bad.
I never really got out of this what I had hoped. I started posting in an effort to establish a reputation so I could get a job working with linux - boy did that fail. As a new subscriber to this list there is no way you failed in establishing a reputation. You are far better off than I. I am also unemployed and whilst I do not have nearly as much linux knowledge as you, I have pretty extensive Windows knowledge. Perhaps list subscribers can enquire if there are any positions available in your area. You never know what may turn up, but at least you can say you tried everything.
It seems anyone can get a linux related job except me. and me, who has been tying for 6 years!!
So after four years or so, I give up. It's been fun, sort of. Damn right its been fun. Many years ago I was heavily involved in IRC and used to spend about4-6 hrs a night on it talking to folk. I have had to give that up now for financial reasons, but I use the mailing lists similarly to chat rooms, just delayed.
Don't leave us, there is still much more you can contribute, even if it isn't as regular.
Live long and prosper ditto and do not only financially prosper but prosper emotionally as well by staying and helping us all out.
