I am using NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-173.14.09_2.6.22.18_0.2-0.1 from Nvidia repository.
How do you install this NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-173.14.05-pkg2.run ? From a Konsole as root ?
Hi Clive
Nearly, just save your work in the GUI, switch to a console (CTRL-ALT-F1) and log in as root, then do an 'init 3' followed by 'sh
NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-173.14.05-pkg2.run' and follow the instructions. Afterwards, just 'init 5' again and you should be good to go.
Yes, but please don't. First of all, overwriting the rpm by the .sh installer is not a good idea in general without first uninstalling the rpm And secondly, the .09 driver is an improvement over the .05 Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
