Fellow SuSErs: I'm planning on replacing my vanilla CD-ROM drive with a DVD combo. Never mind that of the several brands/models //hardwaredb.suse lists, only one has full support, the Trident Microsystems Cyber9397 (never mind also that I've never heard of such). What I need/would like is *your* experience with what *you* have. It could be external, but I'd prefer ($$) an internal unit. My needs are simple, so I don't need/want anything on the bleeding edge: writing on CD, yes; writing on DVD, no, unless it doesn't cost more. Right now, I have EIDE and USB-1.0. TIA (around here it means "Tampa Int'l Airport", but you know what I mean). -- Regards, gr, in /usually/ sunny, balmy Florida's Suncoast.
