I have a magazine cover disk CD of a SUSE10.1 demo version. On booting, there is the choice of running it as a KDE Live CD, a Gnome live CD, or installing it on the hard drive. I don't know if this is a 'cut-down' beta version or the final version.
If I install it, will it be a good example of the purchased version (less many packages, of course) and give me a good idea as to what the full version will be like, or does it fundamentally differ from the bought edition? I'd like to test it before considering buying, especially as my 10.0 is running well.
I can't find anything about this demo version either on the SUSE site, or with Google.
Many thanks for any information.

very interesting!
some more infos (what magazine? available on download for non uk readers?)
thanks
Why not go to www.opensuse.org/Download and download the real thing - all of released version of 10.1?
Sorry, but it's not feasible. I'm on capped broadband. To download all of the released version would have to be spread over two months.
