Does SuSE8 use inetd or xinetd to start services like Apache?
neither... apache is setup to start with an rc script. SuSE does however run inetd not xinetd.. generally services like telnet and ftp are controlled by the inet super daemon. where other addon services are controlled via rc scripts. This way you can fine tune runlevels if required. Jim
