Ill try that with Kpackage. I dont like gaeleon for a number of reasons.
Mozilla is better even out of the box.

That's because if you've not personally set a setting, then the system default is used. Installing ULB-GNOME sets the default GNOME browser to be Galeon.
I'm still using the default SuSE version of Gnome so I don't know if this will work but...
If Carl were to un-install Galeon then run the gnome-default-applications-properties command would he be able to choose Mozilla as the defaut browser and have it stick?
If he then re-installed the ULB version of Galeon would it reset the default browser back to Galeon?
