Hmm.. having worked in an academic environment where over time everything from BBC/Atom machines to super computers were in regular (mis)use, the site MAC guru described the Apple as "the computer for people who do not like using computers". These were usually either portly ageing tweed suited humanities staff or younger dynamic arts folk (and the medics.. go figure !?) ... very few were boring and some were more than a little weird... :-)
You want odd and a little weird.. try attending a Linux or OpenSource convention/conference :-) I don't think you can peg a Mac user any more than you can a Linux user. The world is full of all kinds of odd and interesting humans. Would be a shame if we were all "normal"... whatever that is. I think my comment about drinking the Apple koolaid was what sparked this OT thread. Just let me be clear.. this is simply something I tease my friend with when were discussing and/or working on our computers... nothing more.
