Ok, trying to figure out how to bond the network cards on SUSE into one. Man page for ifcfg-bonding says: "To setup a bonding interface you need a configuration file ifcfg-bond<X> with the usual network settings. But you must add additional variables" Ok, I need a configuration file. Where does it go? I'm reading the Linux Ethernet Bonding Driver HOWTO but it fails to tell you where to put the config file (how about specifying a path at least the first time a file is mentioned, or even every time, just to make life simple?) It also suggests that to determine if ones server has the capability to do this one use the grep ifenslave /bin/ifup command - which returns command not found but in fact there appears to be an ifenslave program in /sbin, and there is a file called ifup in there as well. oh well, I'm still coming to grips with learning grep.
