I've discovered a problem with the scpm RPM shipped with 9.0 (and not yet updated in YOU)

The RPM extracts
/var/lib/scpm/#LOCK
What makes you so sure that this file is installed by the RPM package? I very
1) Complete wipe and reformat
2) Install of 9.0 Pro
3) yast -> system -> profiles -> options -> enable ==> hangs ==> must kill repeat ad nauseam
4) rpm -e scpm ; rpm -i scpm yast > ... ==> still fails
5) find /var/lib/scpm ==> shows lock file remove lock file yast -> ... ==> success
That's no prove at all that the file /var/lib/scpm/#LOCK was installed by the scpm package. This might be a scpm problem, but it is certainly not a RPM bug.
much doubt so. It's not in the file list of the scpm package and I use scpm % on 9.0 myself.
Did you enable it through yast or by creating profiles at the command line?
I don't remember. Likely I tried it both ways during the beta test. Greetings from Bremen hartmut
