In Spain, mac users are called macbores. They look for real ale, only speak English, are old and use very expensive computers. Oh, and have a beard. Is that the case elsewhere?
I know two mac users here (Spain) and they don't fit the description. One is an absolute non-techie, bought an iMac because that way he would not have to care about viruses. He is young, has no beard, I have not seen him drink anything (but he does, I guess, when not on duty), and speaks absolutely no English. The other Mac user I know is the inducer of the first one. He is a bit more of a techie, has both windows 7 and whatever on his machines. Otherwise, the description is very similar to the other chap. Ah, and I saw what those iMac had, and they certainly look nice. Big touchpad with gestures. Lower panel in the display expands three or four times, in a curved shape, so that you can easily see the many icons much bigger, and choose one without mistakes. Cute. He showed off using a photo with the integrated webcam and did things I can't do at all in Linux, like automatically integrating his photo over a background of the Eiffel tower (I was here! - untrue), and other tricks. I was envious, I were. Am. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 11.2 x86_64 "Emerald" GM (Elessar))
