Make sure you have all of the latest updates to the rpms for Apache and its modules. Check the suse site for updates. Also make sure that you are not trying to load PHP3 and PHP4 at the same time. Although this should work, I got the sort of error you described until I removed PHP3 and just loaded PHP4. --Steve Halford shalford@infoarc.com -----Original Message----- From: joris@hood.tvd.be [mailto:joris@hood.tvd.be]On Behalf Of Joris Verboomen Sent: Monday, May 21, 2001 1:36 PM To: Purple Shirt Cc: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: Re: [SLE] Apache and PHP4 I tried this but it didn't change anything. I recently re-installed my SuSE 7.1 box from scratch. I installed both Apache and PHP4 and I get the following error:
Syntax error on line 199 of /etc/httpd/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/lib/apache/libphp4.so into server: shared object
not

I looked in the Support Database and did manually install the package gd but this did not help anything.
Does anybody have any clues ?
Joris.
