Google's GMail will stop working through POP occasionally. Yesterday it would not work for 4 hours with Thunderbird, but worked fine through their web interface. I use my ISP mail for time critical stuff, and GMail for other stuff. I wouldn't bank on GMail for reliability when it comes to POP. In the last year I have seen over 20 'glitches', where it would not work through my e-mail client, but worked fine through their provided interface.
The only problem I've had with GMail is the smtp server not working every now and then. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFD+Jt7j60GAoLuoDkRAjHLAJ44v6wdhOzd2psGOCs7mK5rAFgbQACg5anU GYAcyXLIogswFaqRQsaZ3Hc= =G3/d -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
