How about a local DNS? Does your firewall have IP_FORWARD set to '1'? Are you running MASQ and allowing access to the 10.10.10.xx and 10.10.20.xx addresses? JLK On Wednesday 11 April 2001 19:42, S.Toms wrote:
Quick question, let's say I have two networks going, one is on addresses 10.10.10.XX range and the other is on 10.10.20.XX range. I have a system running apache and serving up pages within the 10.10.10.XX range. Is there anything I have to do to the apache server so that the 10.10.20.XX range computers can see it, or is that a router/firewall issue. A little background, I'm in the engineering department and have a seperate address range with a firewall for all the engineering computers. I had the IS department give me an address in the 10.10.10.XX range so that I could put up the above mentioned apache server. I then modified our cisco router so that the engineering computers which are on a 192.168.0.XX range can see the apache server. Since the apache server has a 10.10.10.XX address, the rest of the computers within the 10.10.10.XX range can see it no problem, but the IS department says the 10.10.20.XX range can't access it at all. They've also given me no indication as to what's happening, ie: ping, explorer/netscape or what have you, just, "They can't access it.", now I'm taking, that to mean, they can't see any pages when they attempt to goto the home page with explorer/netscape but they havn't even given me that much info.
