Actually, I think it's a perfectly valid question and don't understand why some are so emotional over anything that even tangetially involves kde.

Why not just answer the question if there is one and you know it?

Instead, you and some others just resort to name calling. If people like that are it's proponents, that alone is almost reason to avoid kde4.
Personally, despite the 'warts' of KDE3 that infrequently become an issue, on some of my older equipment and in a lot of equipment I buy to refurbish (like recently from the public library when they 'upgraded' because what they had would no longer run 'Vista') that refuse to run KDE4 but run KDE3 just fine with 11.3 kernels, I find a valid use for KDE3 and am glad that it is being kept alive and quasi-supported by repackaging for later distro release versions because I can buy $75.00 machines, run openSUSE (with KDE3) and donate the result to orgaanizations like hospital rehab centers for paraplegics that benefit by being able to retrain folks to overcome their handicap(s) and become productive again. I couldn't afford to donate machines that run KDE4 (in most cases). Brian is one of the good guys on this forum and even if I disagreed with him, which I don't, I would certainly give him the benefit of a doubt, regardless of the issue. so, +100 Richard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
